Roland equipment not responding

Unfortunately, we have had other reports of this problem (where the Roland equipment responds but does not cut) over the past few days and have noted the issue as being due to recent Windows 10 / 11 Updates, rolled out by Microsoft 11/06/2024.

The initial updates were called called KB5039211 and KB5039212, and more recently uninstalling KB5040442 and/or KB5039895 has worked. There has since been various other windows updates since 11/06/2024. We advise removing all updates since 11/06/2024.

A video on how to revert back to a previous version of Windows 11 can be seen HERE (if using Windows 10 the problem may still refer to a recent update – if you have a recent Windows update in the last few days you can uninstall this as per the following link HERE). Although reverting back is perfectly safe, we cannot guarantee you won’t see other issues with the operability of your PC and you do so at your own risk.

We recommend to not install further Windows updates. However, Windows can force install updates. Therefore you can use an alternative method such as the Windows Show/Hide tool to ‘hide’ windows updates and prevent them from installing. please see the following Windows 10 / 11 Tool DOWNLOAD HERE

Please note:
You must be logged in as local administrator or system administrator to be able to uninstall Windows updates.
