As part of the general maintenance found in the user manual, it is recommended that you apply grease to the rear grease nipple of your swing press roughly every 6 months (depending on use - see user manual for specific instruction).
Using a grease gun and general multipurpose grease, squeeze grease into the grease nipple until it comes up out of the rear pivot point. You may wish to apply grease with the heat plate up and down as well as when the heat plate is over the platen and swung away.
If you are still having issues after greasing your press, you may want to apply some lubricating fluid (like WD-40) to the rear pivot point of the arm. Swing the press a few times to make sure you allow the fluid to work its way through the press. You should feel the press becoming easier to move. Wipe away the excess fluid and apply grease again. Repeat as necessary.
