No power to my Adkins Beta Swing press

If there is no power to your Adkins beta swing press, please review the following steps which may help to resolve the problem.

1. Is your plug socket turned on and working? Try plugging the lead into another wall socket. Check to see if the power has tripped at the switch board.
   
   
2. Is the power cable plugged in to the wall and the press securely? Switch the socket off at the wall and unplug the power cable from the wall and the press. Inspect each end to see if there are any burn marks or melted plastic. There is a fuse inside the plug head, check to see if that is blown.
   
   
3. Is it the correct power cable for the press? Most heat presses will use a 13A fuse at least. A different power cable may have a lower amperage fuse which is unsuitable to use and will fail.
   
   
4. Do you have power to the on/off switch? When turned to the on position the switch should illuminate; if the switch is not illuminated then there is no power getting to it. This suggests that the problem is either the power switch (BMC448 available from Adkins dealers), or somewhere between the switch and the power socket. If the switch flickers when operating it, this indicates the switch is faulty. Inspect the wiring that comes from underneath the press and around the back, particularly where it is secured to the base of the press.
   
   
5. Is a fuse blown? There are 2 black fuse holders on the side of the press that have 12.5A fuses inside; check to see if these have blown and make sure they are securely tightened in the fuse holders. If you require new fuses, a pair are available (XPFUSE125 / BM356). The fuse holders and wiring is also available (XP7007XFHKIT)
