If you notice there are nozzle deflections which are effecting the output, it is recommend to firstly ensure that your system is running the latest Firmware. Your printers currently installed firmware will be printed alongside other useful information (such as the serial number) underneath the nozzle check. Please consult Epson's website here to check the latest Firmware available and if your version differs, please download and install the latest version. When prompted you will need to input a password in order to install the firmware, this is specific to your printer and is printed on a label just inside the system. The following images will help you locate this password:

Once the printer is running the latest firmware, perform a Resolve Nozzle Deflection clean from the following menu:

Menu > General Settings > Printer Settings >Exclusive Menu > Resolve Nozzle Deflections

(available on the latest firmware version - please refer to the Epson website for the latest product firmware)

For best results, this should be complete as soon as you notice any deflected nozzles.
Once completed, perform a nozzle check and run standard automated cleaning processes as per the product manual to resolve nozzle drop out.

What is a Nozzle Deflection?

Please see the example below which shows inconsistent nozzle output. The individual nozzle lines should be consistent in position relative to each other.
